Living in Japan for a Few Months: A Language Program with an Au Pair-Style Homestay

For those who would like to live in Japan for a few months.

Today, I would like to introduce our new Au Pair-style program, developed in cooperation with a language school, Local Life Japan in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture.

• You want to experience life in Japan for a short period of time
• You want to seriously study the Japanese language
• You would like to be welcomed into a Japanese household as part of the family
• You are looking for a way to start life in Japan while keeping living costs reasonable

This program is designed for people like you.

Although we use the term “Au Pair,” the core of this program is Japanese language study and daily life in Japan.
Participants attend a Japanese language school while staying with a Japanese host family, allowing them to experience the language and culture not only in the classroom, but also through everyday life.

As part of the Au Pair-style arrangement, participants may offer light support to the host family, such as spending time with the host family’s children or helping with simple daily routines.
This is not full-time work, but rather a cultural exchange that allows participants to become a natural part of the household.

Because accommodation is provided through the host family arrangement, the overall package cost can be kept more reasonable, making it easier to start living in Japan without committing to a long-term stay.

✔ Study Japanese while living in Japan
✔ Experience daily life with a Japanese family
✔ A calm, local environment—not an overwhelming big city
✔ A great option for the first few months before deciding on working holiday plans, further study, or a longer stay

Living in Japan does not have to start with a long-term commitment.
Starting with just a few months can be a meaningful and practical first step.

If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
We will be happy to send you detailed information about the program.
